Get'ta Steppin' weekly wrap up
Saturday Mar 28, 2026
Saturday Mar 28, 2026
This week on the Get’ta Steppin’ Podcast powered by FreedomsFence-Line.com…
We’re breaking down a week that felt like it came at us from every direction.
From rising tensions overseas with missiles, drones, and uncertainty around Iran…To the reality here at home with the government shutdown dragging on… and everyday folks feeling the weight of it.
We’re talking airport chaos — long TSA lines, delays, people stranded — and asking the question a lot of folks are already thinking…
👉 What are we really focused on right now?
At the same time, we’re keeping it grounded in real life.
We’re continuing our food review segment — and this week we stopped by Boots & Sonny’s for some classic hot dogs, chili cheeseburgers, and a big ol’ sweet tea… and also made our way to Wade’s for that turkey pot pie that’ll sit you down after you eat it.
Because that’s part of it too…👉 Real places👉 Real food👉 Real life
We also had a sit-down with Kala from Foothills Humane Society about the need for dog adoptions — but due to a glitch, that interview will have to be redone.
And we will.
Because while everything else is going on…
👉 Those dogs are still waiting on a home.
This episode is about contrast…
Big headlines vs. real lifeNoise vs. what actually matters
If you’re tired of the noise and just want real conversation…
Pull up a chair.
👉 No likes. No follows. No noise.Just real conversation.
And heading into next week…
👉 We’ve got some interesting interviews lined up that you’re not gonna want to miss.

This past week on the Get’ta Steppin’ Podcast powered by FreedomsFence-Line.com, Lou and I covered a lot of ground.
From the ongoing debate in South Carolina over THC, hemp drinks, and marijuana — to the conversations people are having.
We also talked about the things people seem to enjoy the most on the show — our food reviews, retail experiences, and our nostalgic look back at the small-town conversations we used to take for granted.
If you missed it, this episode walks back through the week from the Fence Line.

Something to Munch on; Cannabis & Crappy Service
Thursday Mar 12, 2026
Thursday Mar 12, 2026
Today on the Get’ta Steppin’ Podcast:“Common Sense, Cannabis, and Good Food.”
Sometimes the best conversations happen the same way they always have around here — over a good cup of coffee, a good meal, and a little common sense.
In this episode we take a straight-on look at the ongoing debate in South Carolina surrounding cannabis laws, THC drinks, hemp regulation, and what lawmakers are trying to sort out at the Statehouse. Instead of the political spin, we talk about it the way everyday folks talk about it — asking the simple questions that sometimes seem to get lost in the legislative debate.
We also step away from the politics for a moment and talk about good food, local retail experiences, and how customer service and community businesses have changed over the years. What happened to the kind of service and small-town retail that people used to count on? And why does it feel like some of that has slipped away?
From the South Carolina Statehouse debate to the breakfast table, this episode blends policy, everyday life, and a little bit of humor into the kind of conversation you’d expect from the front porch.
No shouting. No political theater.Just common sense conversation.
Grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair.

President Trump's America First: Full On!
Wednesday Feb 25, 2026
Wednesday Feb 25, 2026
“When Asked to Stand for Americans First… Some Stayed Seated.”
President Donald J. Trump delivered a powerful, unapologetic State of the Union address on February 24, 2026 — a speech grounded in America First values, border security, and protecting the families who call this nation home. But one moment rose above the rest and exposed the deep divide inside that chamber.
When President Trump asked Congress to stand if they believed the federal government’s first duty is to protect American citizens before illegal aliens, Republicans immediately rose to their feet in full support. Many Democrats, however, refused to stand, staying firmly planted in their seats even as the President highlighted heartbreaking stories of Americans killed due to failed immigration enforcement.
Their silence spoke volumes.
As the nation watched, key Democratic figures remained seated through emotional moments — including tributes to families who lost loved ones, and as Trump laid out the urgent need to secure the border. The contrast was unmistakable: patriots standing proudly for this country, while others chose politics over unity.
The night also featured moments of true honor as President Trump recognized American heroes, including awarding long-overdue military medals and presenting a Purple Heart decades after it was earned. These powerful scenes reminded the country what real sacrifice, duty, and patriotism look like.
The Get’ta Steppin’ Podcast and FreedomsFence-line.com stands firmly with President Trump, with the American families who deserve protection, and with every military hero honored last night. And we will continue to call out those who refuse to stand for the values that make this nation strong.

Busting at the Seams; Overlooked to Overgrowth!
Tuesday Feb 24, 2026
Tuesday Feb 24, 2026
Across our communities, folks are speaking up — but the people elected to listen ain’t hearing a word of it. While neighborhoods strain under overgrowth, new construction keeps rolling forward at full throttle. Many residents say they feel overlooked, locked out of the decisions shaping the very places they call home.
This episode highlights the growing divide between everyday citizens and a county council that seems more tuned in to developers than to the people living with the consequences. From zoning decisions to rapid-fire approvals, the message many are sending is the same: “Slow down. Listen. This is our home, too.”
Stay tuned as we continue tracking the voices, the concerns, and the real-life impacts of unchecked growth throughout our area.

Gas Prices: it's a shell game
Monday Feb 23, 2026
Monday Feb 23, 2026
Why is it that you can drive one mile, pass two red lights, and the gas jumps twenty cents like somebody’s playing a shell game with your wallet? This morning on the Get’ta Steppin’ Podcast, we dig into what I’m calling the Gas Pump Quandary — the up-and-down prices that make no sense, the excuses they give, and the real-world impact on everyday families just trying to get to work.
Plain talk, straight talk, and the questions nobody else bothers to ask
